Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Bronx with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in New York may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–10 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Aries Fish Market at (718) 702-9649; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 157 reviews, which is a strong result for a seafood market in Bronx and suggests consistent service.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bronx peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I went there on Sunday and let me tell you I didn't know we have a so beautiful, delicious, tasty seafood restaurant so close where I leave. I'm been leaving in the Bronx for more then 20 years and I always go to City Island to eat seafood or Manhattan 191 Street and St Nicholas. You're place is amazing, your team is the most respectful people and your food is delicious. I'm definitely coming back again with my friends snd family. Recommend to anyone anywhere!!πŸ₯°πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ€€. Please don't forget the shrimp empanadas they so deliciousπŸ€€πŸ‘

Recently I was on vacation in New York and was craving seafood. I ended up going to Aries Fish Markets because I saw it online and I like the concept of me being able to pick the food and the chefs cooking it on the spot. When I walked In and saw how clean it is I knew I was in the right place. The employees treated me well, even the employees in the front explained with details the different options of ingredients that I could choose from. Once my order was finished the women that cooked it offered me different types of sauce. I was staying in Brooklyn but the food and service was so good I went four times. I wish you guys them best and I will definitely go back on my next vacation. Thank you!

I had such a great experience at this fish market! The seafood was incredibly fresh, clean, and beautifully displayed. You can immediately tell they take pride in the quality of their products. Everything smelled fresh (which is so important when buying seafood), and the selection was amazing. The staff was friendly, patient, and very helpful. They answered all my questions, cleaned the fish exactly how I asked, and made sure I left completely satisfied. The prices were also very reasonable for the quality you receive. If you’re looking for fresh fish and excellent customer service, this is definitely the place to go. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

3 stars because I'm rooting for y'all. I like the storefront, the menu, the prices are pretty decent. And you're the first market in the neighborhood with live crab. But this catfish is undercooked. It was wet and slimy. And you see that dark gray line? No bueno. I tossed it in the air fryer, it was better. No more dark gray line of undercooked fish. I wish it had more seasoning/flavor to complement the catfish.

Okay let me start by saying the owner and/or Manager is extremely nice! She takes care of the down on their luck when others might look away! Back to the food, fried catfish was welled seasoned. I got my veggies steamed separately and some lobster tails with yellow rice. Price point was excellent check them out ASAP!
